ABOUT SPIRIT DOG YOGA
PERSONALIZED YOGA THERAPY AND MEDITATION MENTORING
I founded Spirit Dog Yoga Therapy as an expression of my own personal growth through yoga. I originally began practicing yoga nearly 30 years ago in Portland, Oregon to recover from a serious ankle injury suffered while serving in the US Army and have been teaching yoga since 2015.
Through mindfulness meditation, aromatherapy and yoga, I rediscovered the joy and peace of yoga to deal with daily stress. In 2014, I enrolled in a yoga teaching program with the intent of deepening my own practice but once I taught my first restorative yoga class, I knew I wanted to share the benefits of yoga and essential oils with others.
I have continued my training in yoga therapy, receiving my first yoga therapy certification in 2018 and am now completing the highest level of certification. I am also certified in iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation.

The inspiration for Spirit Dog Yoga Therapy came from Max and Ziggy. Two incredible rescues who taught me so much about love and life. Both boys passed away in the Summer of 2021 after living long, happy lives. They are missed every day.
REVIEWS
I took a class, along with my friend, with Nancy back in September in the Outer Banks (was visiting the area with friends). She is an excellent teacher and it was an awesome class. Would recommend her and would love to take one of her classes again!!

Nancy is very caring and kind. Her calming voice allows you to relax and stay focused with your breath and keep your mind from "monkeying" around. She shares her knowledge of aromatherapy/essential oils in class as well as classes dedicated to the seven Chakras. It's a gift to myself to be in her class each week.

Best restorative yoga teacher for me. A great way to start and end the week. She will be missed on the OBX.
